Software Install Failed
Start->run->regedit.exe Open treeview to key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer  Menu->edit->new->string value->Logging<Enter>  Double click Logging Value Data->voicewarmupx->OK  Run the installation that failed on your computer. Start->Run->cmd.exe<enter> cd %temp% -> this command gets you to the log file directory dir wmi* -> this command lists files with wmi prefix Notepad xxx.log -> xxx is the log filename from the previous step Look for error messages, type them into msn.com Don't skip this step, it will slow down your computer. Start->run->regedit.exe Open treeview to key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer Select value: logging ->logging should be blue, look below menu->edit->Delete  If your installing a new hardware device, (usb web cam) open file C:\WINDOWS\setupapi.log and analyze using setupapilog.doc. On Vista, see C:\Windows\inf\setupapi.dev.log and C:\Windows\inf\setupapi.dev.log.
