Epicor 9 Adding controls to forms


Start Epicor in Developer mode.

Open form hosting new button. For this example, Main Menu->production management->Quality Assurance->Inspection processing br />
Start customizations->Tools->Customization

Customization tools dialog->Tools->Toolbox

Create report launch button of form.

Add button press event. Customization tools dialog->Wizards->Control Type Filter->Epi Button->Custom Control->Button created in last step->Available control events->Click

When prompted to save form, enter a name and save

Enable form through menu security->System management->Security maintenance->menu maintenance->Main Menu->production management->Quality Assurance->Inspection processing->Select customization created in last step

Close and restart Epicor application. New button should be visible.

If your custom forms disappear, be sure to open them correctly. Opening and editing a form in developers mode requires specifically selecting the new form. see Inspection process print:
